Offline Conversion Import (OCI)

Offline conversion import (OCI) is the process of sending outcomes that happen after the click — qualified leads, closed sales, signed contracts — from your CRM back to Google Ads, matched to the original ad interaction.

For most service and B2B businesses, the valuable conversion happens offline, days or weeks after a form fill or phone call. Offline conversion import closes that gap by uploading those outcomes using a click identifier (the GCLID) or, increasingly, hashed customer data through enhanced conversions for leads. Uploads can be manual, scheduled, or automated through CRM integrations such as HubSpot or Salesforce.

Once offline outcomes are in Google Ads, you can optimize bidding toward sales instead of inquiries and report true cost per acquisition and return on ad spend. Meta offers a similar capability through its Conversions API. It's one of the highest-leverage upgrades available to a lead-gen advertiser.

Example

A roofing company's CRM marks a lead 'job sold — $14,500,' and that sale and its value are automatically sent to Google Ads and credited to the original search ad.
